Volunteering in Unit 2

Do you have a special talent, skill or hobby you'd like to share?

Maybe you have an extra hour here and there….

Why not volunteer at Unit 2 Schools?

Volunteering does not require you to commit a set amount of time each week or month. Perhaps you have a special interest that you would like to present to a class. If you enjoy hobbies such as sewing or painting, our theatrical and musical departments would appreciate your help as they are preparing for shows. Gardening is another example. Perhaps you could work with students on cultivating some of the landscapes at our schools. Other ideas include:

•  Read a story to a class

•  Make copies for teachers or office staff

•  Decorate bulletin boards

•  Demonstrate a musical instrument

•  Teach mini-lessons on a foreign language or sign language

We welcome all community members to participate in our volunteer program – you don't have to be a parent of a student to help in our schools. From college students to retirees, everyone has something to offer!

If you would be interested in sharing your time with our terrific students, please contact any of our building administrators. Or, you can contact any of our parent organizations.
