Student Council at NMS is made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. There are two representatives from each advisory class that are on the council. The President is always an 8th grader, with the Vice President being a 7th grader. We also have a secretary which comes from the 8th grade class and the 6th grade has their own officer.

We are responsible for putting on three dances each school year, and we help run the concession stand during home ball games.

In the past we have worked with "Toys For Tots" and last year we sent money to help aid Tsunami victims. We also try to purchase items for the school that will benefit the entire student body. This summer we bought a new sound system for our gymnasium. This can be used for dances, entertainment at lunch, and to be played at ball games.
