Who Am I?

I am one of six children born to Larry and Linda Lingafelter. I grew up in Willow Hill and graduated from Newton Community High School. I received an Associate in Arts and an Associate in Science from Olney Central College, afterwards receiving my teaching degree from Eastern Illinois University.

My teaching experiences include 2 years of teaching business at West Richland Jr./Sr. High School, 1 year at Robinson High School teaching Spanish, and 4 years at Newton Community High School teaching business. Last year I returned to RHS as a business teacher and this year I am teaching both business and Spanish. I am also the FBLA sponsor.

My husband, David, and I have a 4-year-old daughter, Darcee, and a son, Weston, who was stillborn in December 2007. Our extended family includes multiple cats and two wonderful rat terriers, Otis Edward and Sampson Gene.

What's new with Mrs. P?

1-25-10: Tomorrow is the first day a friend will come home on the bus with Darcee. She is really excited! Zumba is on hold so now I'll be chasing kids around the house instead. Yeah!

1-19-10: FBLA kids competed this weekend at Fairfield. Everyone did well but what a long weekend! I'm looking forward to doing nothing next weekend. Maybe just watching a movie and relaxing with the family.

1-14-10: Zumba started back up in Oblong this week. I'm no dancer but it does get me out of the house. Darcee enjoys her playtime during that hour also so it works out quite well. And her sitter is awesome!
