Lunchroom Supervisors (WES)

Part-Time Transporation Secreatry

This position is responsible for assisting in the transportation department in providing safe, timely, and efficient transportation of students and to assist the Transportation Coordinator in effective school/public relations by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries and visitors.

Duties

  1. Maintains daily mileage sheets.
  2. Assists Transportation Coordinator with Extra Trip forms for the purpose of assigned trips.
  3. Answers telephone and radio calls, maintaining a respect for privacy, and responds in an effective manner.
  4. Tracks monthly mileage for each bus.
  5. Maintains a running report for mileage and billing.
  6. Assists with the compilation of transportation employee timesheets.
  7. Makes copies for Transportation Dispatcher/Coordinator of mileages in areas of Vocational, Building Trades, Get Set, and Early Childhood in order to bill them in the proper area.
  8. Completes Wheel Pull form each month to keep abreast of state required bus regulations which require wheels pulled every 10,000 miles.
  9. Assists Transportation Coordinator in bus dispatching on evening routes.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned to assist the Transportation Coordinator.

Qualifications

  1. Must be 21 years of age.
  2. Must be able to maintain good working relationships with parents, staff and students.
  3. Must have basic computer skills.
  4. CDL with bus endorsement is preferred, but not required.
  5. Must be a great communicator.

Scheduling

Regular work week is anticipated to be 25-30 hours per week. Daily schedule may fluctuate depending on district needs and will be determined by the Transportation Coordinator and candidate prior to employment.

Terms of Employment

Hourly pay for approximately 200 days per year (includes an approximate 10 days after the school year and 10 days prior to the start of the school year).

Evaluation

Annually by the Transportation Coordinator and/or Director of District Operations

Wage and Benefits

Benefits will be dependent on number of hours worked, but may include health insurance, paid time off

Starting wage for the position will be between $16.00-$17.50/hour.

Substitute Custodians (all buildings)

  • Must be able to climb, reach, and bend
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
  • Called in as needed to cover for absences
  • $15/hour
